I had the pleasure of working with Nugent’s on a very difficult and challenging project in Dublin for a well know High Street name. The team from Nugent’s brought their professional expertise to the table and helped solve many of the obstacles working in a live store in Grafton Street presented to us. Their approach was not just to identify problems but offer solutions to them as they arose. This proactive approach helped the project run a lot smoother and I would certainly work with Stephen and his team in the future.
It is a sincere testament by the way, I certainly would look forward to working with you guys again, given the opportunity
Nugent Manufacturing have successfully completed a substantial number of projects for us over the last sixteen years. We have found them to be professional and proactive from design stage right through to handover. Their ability to innovate has assisted in solving design issues encountered. They continue to deliver a quality product on our projects and we would have no hesitation in recommending them for similar secondary steel installations
As a sculptor I have a great deal of experience of working in bronze and have completed several public and private commissions in this country. However, my experience of working with Nugents ( of Naas Co Kildare) was probably the most satisfying and successful working partnership I have yet undertaken.
The project was a major motorway sculpture in Corten Steel for Westmeath Co Council, Stephen Nugent effictively ran the project from beginning to end. At the presentation stage Nugents made sure the huge demands made for compliance, health and safety etc were met in full and on time. As lead contractor, they provided the best structural engineers and health and safety officer, supervised the ordering of steel, handled the fabrication of the entire sculpture, supervised the concrete foundations and arranged for the complex transportation to the site.
The erection at a difficult motorway site was pre planned well in advance by senior Nugents staff as was the hiring of cranes and personnel.
I effectively only gave Nugents a set of drawings and a scale model. They delivered the finished sculpture on time and not one penny over budget.
It was a faultless piece of engineering
In 2011 I wanted to exhibit a garden which floated into the sky at London's Chelsea Flower Show. The project was fraught with difficulties resulting from a late commission and considerable health and safety concerns. I needed to find a steel manufacturer who would work with my team of architects, engineers, consultants and project managers to create the basic structures of the garden including, core-ten steel pathway, multiple spun steel bowls and the all important 20 ton hanging cradle.
The logistics of this were both demanding and somewhat frightening.
I was introduced to Nugent Manufacturing who immediately embraced the unusual concept. After one meeting with Stephen and his team I knew we had found our partners.
Despite fast approaching deadlines and an evolving design they embraced the challenge, dealt with considerable administrate and technical challenges and worked tirelessly to deliver a beautiful bespoke structure within budget to the grounds of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.
Since then I have continued to be impressed with their ability to 'think outside the box' and adapt to an ever changing industrial environment.
Nugent Manufacturing are a customer focused and detail obsessed company, willing to go that extra mile to please the customer.
I have no hesitation in recommending them for any metal work.
